30 Hours Provision
From September 2017 working families with children aged 3 / 4 years are eligible for 30 ‘free’ hours of early education and childcare.
Burradon Community Primary School offers 15 hours entitlement in the form of five mornings which are three hours each.
Parents who are entitled to the additional 15 hours provision may access this at other child care providers. We are currently working in partnership with Burradon Pre-School which operates out of the attached community wing. Practitioners collect the children from school each day. For further details please contact Burradon Pre-School on 07974997672.
Families are eligible for 30 ‘free’ hours if:
• both parents are working (or the sole parent is working in a lone parent family);
• each parent has a weekly minimum income equivalent to 16 hours at national minimum wage or living wage; and
• neither parent has an income of more than £100,000 per year.
Parents can find out more and apply at www.childcarechoices.gov.uk
Eligible parents will be given a code which must be passed on to the provider of the 30 ‘free’ hours in order that this is validated.
