Foundation Stage Admissions

Children begin Foundation Stage the term after their third birthday. Children who are three are referred to as as Foundation Stage 1 (FS 1). All children who are three are entitled to a part time place for 15 hours, this maybe a morning place or an afternoon place depending on numbers.

From September 2018 we are also offering 30 hours Childcare from our school. Information regarding this offer and eligibility as well as government links can be found in the '30 Hours Provision' section in the Key Information part of our website.

If your child was born between:

  •  September and December they will be start school in January.
  •  January and April they will be start school in April.
  •  May and August they will be start school in September.

Starting school can be a very daunting time for both children and parents. In order to make this experience a positive and enjoyable one we aim to ensure that both children and parents are familiar and comfortable with the Foundation Stage environment, the staff and the way we organise our sessions. The term before your child starts school you will receive a letter inviting you to a meeting to talk about the Foundation Stage, meet the Foundation Stage staff and explore the Foundation Stage Unit. This is also an opportunity for staff to answer any questions or concerns you may have. You will also be offered a time for your child to visit the setting and meet the staff and children they will be meeting when they start. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you are unable to attend these events and we will rearrange at a time of your convenience.
