From April 2026, the school meal catering has been managed by a local catering group called Impact Food Group.  They currently provide catering to schools across North Tyneside, and we were impressed with the service and menu choice they were able to offer our school community.

There is a three-week rolling menu which is linked to the meal ordering payment system called Appetite:  https://appetite.hutchisoncatering.co.uk/ . After talking to other local schools, they have said this system is simple and easy for parents/carers to use, and it also allows you to pay via card and direct debit.  If you choose to pay via direct debit, Appetite collects these payments on a monthly basis.

A key option of this service will be a pre-order system for your child's school meal on the Appetite System.  Parents can pre-order for a day, a week, a month or a term.  The system will accept orders until 9.30am each day.  This has many benefits:

• Children and parents can select the food they want to eat each day from the menu, so children select what they like.

• Parents know what their child has had to eat.

• It reduces food wastage.
